About
I come from a business family where working capital, passive income, and savings were often the talks of dinner conversations. After completing Bachelors in Accounting and Finance from Mumbai University in 2007, my first ever job was in Reliance mutual fund, when the concept of mutual fund itself was new in India. The early investments often teach you the most important lessons, and the 2008 Financial crisis was an eye opener. That is when I realized I need to build deeper understanding on the investment landscape and found my answers in CFA Level 1 and 2.
CFA gave me a whole new approach to seeing balance sheets and studying various investment styles. Curiosity, trainer’s background, passion for writing, and understanding of finance was a perfect symphony to dive deeper into writing financial articles for insurance companies and asset management companies as well as investment newsletter and business newspapers.
You can find a piece of training and business in my works in Indian Express (Since 2024), and Motley Fool Canada (since 2020), and Market Realist (since 2015-2020).
Every article has helped me see the same market and stocks in different moods, seasons, economies, and regulatory environments. And these learnings are what I present to my readers. Hence, you will often see her write about portfolio diversification, cyclical growth opportunities, boardroom stories of companies, behavioural finance, regulations and economic impact on your wallet.
Every stock has a way of giving returns. Once you identify it, pair it with the right investing approach.
